small room event to talk about software factories and how they can fully automate development
developers are the only professionals eager to automate themselves out of the job.
ai agents are the latest addition to a long string tools like compilers, version control, ci, containers, ides.
and yet there's a new dog on the block: software factories, ai agents on steroids capable of building entire features and products hands-off.
a lot of questions arise:
- what are they?
- do we need them?
- how do we build them?
- what's the role of a developer if factories become the prevalent way to build software products?
let's discuss them in a small room.
a couple of folks i met, who are meeting in berlin, will join, but everybody is welcome.
i'll briefly speak for five to ten minutes about my experience with software factories,
but the rest of the event will be in the unconference format, where we just discuss and share experiences.
